Top detection score on AV-Comparatives test
The Austria based antivirus testing organization AV-Comparatives has published their results of the February 2011 testing round. Along the 20 antivirus products participating in the recurring quarterly tests, they also tested Emsisoft Anti-Malware and Ikarus virus.utilities in single product tests this time, using the same test configuration.
The detection results for Emsisoft Anti-Malware 5.1 are stunning:
With a total detection rate of 98.4% across all categories and 99.7% in the special Backdoors/Bots category it would have ranked place 3 of 22 world class antivirus products, and qualifying for the Antivirus Standard logo.
That again confirms that Emsisoft Anti-Malware benefits of its dual scan engine and we’re working hard to improve it even more for upcoming tests. Additionally we’re currently investigating on the outlined false positive issue.
