The famous antivirus laboratory MalwareResearchGroup is running a long term detection test since the beginning of this year. Up to today about 20 security programs had to face 80 new and especially dangerous trojans and rootkits.

Emsisoft Anti-Malware has now taken the lead of the overall ranking for antivirus and antimalware programs in 2011 and therefore shows its enormous strength in the protection against new online threats. This is achieved by using the following three security layers:

• Surf protection which blocks the access to known malicious websites
• Dual-engine file guard with more than 5 million signatures of known malware
• Behavior blocker for zero-day malware nobdody was able to analyze yet
