There is a new video review of Emsisoft Anti-Malware 6 out there, produced by PCwebplus. With the file guard, surf protection and behavior blocker all three security layers had to prove their functionality versus 60 different malware samples.

The highly accredited monthly Virus Bulletin test had a very successful outcome for Emsisoft Anti-Malware again. Positive feedback outbalances not achieving the VB100 award this month due to not detecting a single polymorphic virus. But not a single false positive and an overall remarkable detection rate both in the reactive (scanner) and proactive (behavior detection) test speak for itself.

This is what Virus Bulletin writes: “Detection rates were excellent, with some stunning scores in the RAP sets – the proactive week was particularly impressive.”

The famous antivirus laboratory MalwareResearchGroup is running a long term detection test since the beginning of this year. Up to today about 20 security programs had to face 80 new and especially dangerous trojans and rootkits.

Emsisoft Anti-Malware has now taken the lead of the overall ranking for antivirus and antimalware programs in 2011 and therefore shows its enormous strength in the protection against new online threats. This is achieved by using the following three security layers:

• Surf protection which blocks the access to known malicious websites
• Dual-engine file guard with more than 5 million signatures of known malware
• Behavior blocker for zero-day malware nobdody was able to analyze yet

Followers of this blog already know the Brazilian security enthusiast Victor Hugo Cardoso. He regularly reviews security applications on Youtube with a quite huge fanbase. His latest creation contains two parts, in the first Emsisoft Anti-Malware 6.0 has to face many harmful links. Software reviews on Youtube are becoming more and more popular. This is a positive trend as users can see a specific program in action before trying it out themselves. In the first video security enthusiast languy99 has a closer look at the final version of Emsisoft Anti-Malware 6 that was released just a few days ago.

Brazilian security enthusiast Victor Hugo has confronted the new Emsisoft Anti-Malware 6 beta with some nasty Malwares and bad links. As usual he recorded the testing session and published it on Youtube afterwards. The Internet portal freebiest.com has published an interesting review of Emsisoft’s powerful Online Armor Firewall. They recommend using it in addition to an Anti-Malware program to prevent flagged information from entering ones network and harming the computer.

The result of the review:

Pros: Comprehensive and advanced firewall protection with a lot of additional security features but easy to use for even if you aren’t PC expert. Banking Online Mode is unique and very useful. It’s even more than a firewall program in comparison with others.

Cons: Not free but good price.
